With more than 30 years of experience, Sarah Thornton provides strategic legal counsel to public employers on labor and employment, governance, public records, and collective bargaining. She also conducts workplace investigations, advises on civil rights and Title IX compliance, and partners with boards and executive leaders on governance, strategic planning, and organizational effectiveness. Known for her thoughtful and pragmatic approach, Sarah delivers engaging training that helps leaders navigate complex issues with confidence.

Sarah serves on the boards of the Council of School Attorneys and ERNN and previously served on the Washington Association of School Administrators Board of Directors and its Professional Standards and Ethics Committee. She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington and her B.A. in Government from Smith College.
